On October 19, 2021, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued a consent order against JPay for violating Federal consumer financial protection laws, including for engaging in unfair, abusive, and deceptive acts and practices related to charging unavoidable and unauthorized fees. Eligible consumers who received prepaid cards from JPay upon release from prison or jail, and who were charged unauthorized fees, will receive a check.
If you are eligible to receive a refund of the fees you paid and we did not have your mailing address, you should have received an email with a Unique ID. Use the information on this site to provide your mailing address so you can receive a check in the mail, refunding fees you paid.
